Recreational Sports manages eight fitness and sport facilities on the University of Texas at Austin campus, including Gregory Gym. The student gym features basketball, volleyball, racquetball, and squash courts, as well as weight training, cardio, class, dance, and game rooms. Students can also change up their routine with the climbing wall and the outdoor center. When it’s time to relax your muscles after a long workout, head to the steam room or sauna. Gregory Gym will remain open over spring break, so you can maintain the good habits of your workout plan.

Pure Austin is known as the indoor gym for outdoor people. The staff of this locally owned gym has worked hard to provide a fun and inspiring environment for the people of Austin to get in shape. At Pure Austin, you can participate in outdoor activities you wouldn’t normally expect to have access to at a gym, like outdoor cycling, paddleboard yoga on a lake, outdoor trail running, rock climbing, and swimming. They also offer traditional fitness equipment, such as cardio machines and weight training machines. The gym has multiple locations in Austin, so you can visit the one most convenient for you.

Austin Bouldering Project

The Austin Bouldering Project (ABP) is a big, friendly, welcoming space to climb, exercise, and socialize. There are a ton of boulders for rock climbing without ropes or harnesses. Most boulders are between 13 and 15 feet tall. The knowledgeable staff provides training and safety courses so you can have the most enjoyable bouldering experience possible. They also offer yoga and fitness classes. ABP is unique to Austin and provides a fun way to get in shape for spring break. You can enjoy the facilities with a day pass, a monthly punch pass, or a monthly membership.
